Project Overview: The task for Roy Rogers' in-store menu involved creating captivating animations that would draw in customers' attention in a bustling restaurant environment. My role was to design and produce these animations, focusing on three seasonal concepts for fall and holidays, and a promotional piece for continuous display on their menu screens.

Challenges: The primary challenge was to design animations that were not only visually engaging but also aligned with the quick-paced, attention-demanding setting of a fast-food restaurant. Additionally, the seasonal and promotional animations needed to be distinct yet cohesive with Roy Rogers' brand identity.

Solutions:

  • Dynamic Animation Design: Leveraging Adobe Premiere Pro, I crafted a series of quick and flashy animations that were eye-catching and designed to immediately grab customer attention. The animations were dynamic, with movements and transitions tailored to create an engaging visual experience.
  • Seasonal Concepts Development: For the fall and holiday themes, the animations were designed to evoke the respective seasonal spirit, incorporating elements and colors representative of each season. This approach helped in creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere within the restaurants.
  • Promotional Animation Loop: The promotional piece was crafted to be displayed in a loop on the menu screens. This animation was particularly focused on showcasing special offers and popular menu items, designed to be both informative and visually stimulating.
  • Collaboration with Art Director: I closely collaborated with an Art Director who provided the necessary assets. This collaboration ensured that the animations were in line with the brand's aesthetic and marketing objectives. My role was to bring these assets to life through creative animation techniques.

Outcome:

The completed animations for the Roy Rogers in-store menu were a significant success. They effectively attracted customers’ attention, enhancing their in-store experience and informing them of the latest offers and seasonal specialties. The fall and holiday animations added a festive touch to the restaurant's ambiance, while the promotional loop effectively highlighted key menu items and offers.

This project demonstrated my ability to blend creative animation skills with strategic brand alignment. By delivering visually appealing and purposeful animations, I contributed to enhancing the in-store marketing strategy of Roy Rogers, showcasing my proficiency in creating impactful digital content for a retail and hospitality setting.
